- Year group fixture evenings throughout the year to help continuity
- Major tournaments in all age groups
- All league results go to the Tony Miller Trophy for the top performing school
- Students may play for one age group only except at Under 16 level where any student can be selected
- The website shows all fixtures, results and leagues
- In the league 4 points are awarded for a win, 2 points for a draw and 1 point for a loss
- Games must be claimed when teams do not fulfil fixtures. Failure to fulfil a fixture means loss of points.
- The top 3 teams in each league will enter the play offs, the winning team will go forward to represent the Southern Area in the county competition.
League Guildelines
1. Matches to be of two halves of 12 minutes
2. For yrs8 and 9 the first half to be played in two quarters, passarelle (first quarter are group of 5, second quarter the remaining 5). For teams with only 9 in squad, opposition coach to select player to play twice.The second half is to be played with any 5, substitutions as normal.
3. Teams to officiate by agreement
4. FIBA rules applied except:
- 1 time out per half
- stopping clock in final 2 minutes
- 4 personal fouls per game
- 5 team fouls per half
