Girls Sports - Rounders
To date, girls rounders within the Southern Area partnership has essentially been organised on a friendly basis with competitive tournaments for years 7 - 10 being held at the end of the season.
Following the success of the girls netball leagues the Girls Sports Association requested that the Southern Area Partnership organise rounders leagues for years 7,8,9 and 10.
Rules
1.NRA Rules apply throughout the league (see abridged version www.rounders.punters.co.uk/rules.)
2.Each team to play 1 innings of 10 mins . 1 min during changeover
3.Schools are responsible for umpiring their own matches
4.Please start matches as close to 3.45pm as possible
5.If your team cannot honour a fixture please inform opposition directly
6.Failing to honour a game will result in 5 points and 5 rounders being awarded to the opposition
7.Schools will be informed by 2.00pm if matches are postponed due to inclement weather
8.Please put results cards in the appropriate box
9.Points will be awarded as follows; 5 win, 3 score draw, 2 if score is half opponents and 1 for a loss
10.Winners and runners up from each pool will qualify for the final at Durrington High School
