The Southern Area Sports Partnership is a family of schools that come together to enhance sports opportunities for all. The Southern Area partnership is made up of Angmering Sports College, eleven secondary schools and sixty five primary schools clustered around the secondaries and the college.

The removal of Government funding for our School Sports Partnership is bringing huge change in the way we are able to deliver school sport in our area.
The Partnership intends to:

• Organise partnership finals in key stage 1 & 2 in Yr1/2 Gymnastics, Yr 3 & 4 Gymnastics, Yr 5 & 6 Tag Rugby, Indoor athletics, Yr 5 & 6 Netball/Football finals , Yr 4 Olympic event, Swimming gala and Athletics. Gold Medals will be provided for winners in each of these events

• KS 3 and KS4 Competitions

• Comprehensive range of Disability sports and activities

• Leadership Academy and Team Elite for KS4

• Change for life clubs at Primary and secondary schools

• Delivery of ‘The school Games’ initiative

• Reduction of costs in CPD opportunities

All the SSCO team are committed to providing excellent PE and sporting opportunities especially during this Olympic year. It is our vision that “Every child in the Southern Area Sports Partnership has the opportunity to participate in an Olympic style event either at school, cluster, Partnership or County level “
This is indeed a time of huge transition as well as new opportunities and as a partnership we will embrace this new landscape in preparation for London 2012
