ST ANDREWS FESTIVAL OF SKILLSOver 180 children from Bramber First, Broadwater CE, Lyndhurst First, Whytemead First and Springfield First took part in the annual Year 2 Multi Skills Festival at St Andrew’s on a sunny afternoon last week. The Year 10 Sports Leadership students introduced the children to skills including; bat and ball bounce, speed bouncing, throw and catch relay ladder relays, hit the spot and target throw. Each team of 15 rotated round each station earning points for their team by completing the skills as quickly and as correctly as they could.
The Year 10 Team Leaders, who had supported and encouraged their groups throughout the afternoon, prepared everyone for the final result just as the rain was starting to fall.
The winning teams were green A and yellow B, but all the teams worked incredibly well together.
Many thanks to the children, staff and Year 10 students for making the afternoon such an enjoyable success. Let’s do it all again next year....but without the rain at the end!
