Gifted and Talented Children Programme
The Southern Area Paternership caters for the Gifted and Talented pupils in Physical Education from across the partnership at 3 levels.

Key Stage 2
Individual secondary schools across the partnership put on Gifted and Talented days for transition pupils between primary and secondary schools and middle to secondary schools.

Primary/Middle school pupils are identified by Primary Link Teachers (PLT's) and details passed on to the secondary schools. Days are used for identification, tracking and assessment.

Yr6
Pupils are identified by PLT's from every school across the partnership and invited to attend a week long Multi-Skills Gifted and Talented Camp held at Angmering Sports College during February half term.

Key Stage 4 Team Elite
Physical Education Heads of Department from the 12 Secondary schools across the Southern Area School Sport Partnership nominate two year 9 gifted and talented pupils for possible entry on to the programme. The pupils can come from any activity/sport and must have representative honours from at least regional level.

The pupils attend a 6 day athlete support package over the year 10 academic year along with similar pupils from the Bognor School Sport Partnership held at the University of Chichester School of Physical Education and Sport Science.
